Because costs have been magnified by the COVID pandemic and we are a 100% volunteer-run organization — sponsors have a big impact during our inaugural year. Our sponsors help defray the cost of our overhead and increase the impact of our annual collective giving. Our goal is to maintain no more than 12.5% gross overhead, which is considered quite low in comparison to most 501(c)3 organizations. The primary expense is grant application management software.
